19 Months

Weight: 20 pounds 8 ounces
Height: 30 1/4 inches
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: 18 months
Sleep: 12 hours at night and 1 nap during the day
Current loves:  saying "mine" (everything around here is mine!), saying Momma if she needs anything even if it's not to me and throwing things
Dislikes: staying in the stroller, getting things taken away from her and not getting her way

SK's weight went down slightly this past month.  Probably due to a bad stomach virus one week followed by an ear infection the next week along with two weekends of traveling.  She is still such a happy girl and loves to say hi and bye to everyone we come across.  She loves to fold her hands while we are praying together and claps when we say "Let's go Rangers!".  Savannah Kate knows how to put her toys up, get her shoes out of the drawer, throw trash away, wash her hands and put laundry in the washer.  She's such a good little helper.  Hopefully she doesn't grow out of being my little helper anytime soon :)

Ball Park Hot Dog

We enjoyed another fun Ranger's baseball game last week.  (I think this has been my favorite thing about living in Dallas)  This was the first time to take SK since she could walk so I was a little nervous that she wouldn't stay in our seats.  With lots of toys and snacks in tow she did pretty good and had so much fun clapping along with the music.  She made friends with everyone sitting in our section and had her first ball park hot dog!  Savannah Kate is going to love baseball.  She gets excited when we're watching the Rangers on TV and will carry around one of Hunter's baseballs and throw it to us.  Through this we have learned that she is right handed like her momma.  Sorry Hunter, maybe the next one will be a lefty like you :)
We stuck to the small $1 hot dogs, but look at this $26 "Boomstick" hot dog that they sell at the Ranger's ball park.  Yes, it's the length of a bat!  That could feed an entire family, but I'm not going to try.

18 months

Weight: 21 pounds (20th percentile)
Height:  30 1/4 inches (10th percentile)
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: 12-18 months
Sleep: 11-12 hours at night with at least 1 nap during the day
Current loves:  wearing my jewelry, the cookie monster aka "coco" and making funny faces
Dislikes: being put in timeout (it's only for one minute, but seems like forever to her), chicken and having to stay inside the shopping cart in the grocery store

Surprise face!
See what I mean about not staying in the cart - this is usually how we shop now
Working on their computers

SK's favorite place to play in the backyard
Found her napping on the couch with baby doll while I was making dinner one night - exactly why she still needs LONG afternoon naps

Easter 2012

Savannah Kate loved Easter this year.  She carried her basket around all day, even when it was time to go to bed.  She seemed to understand to pick up the eggs and put them in her basket without us having to tell her what to do and she hasn't been to an egg hunt yet.  Hopefully we can make it to one next year.  I'm so blessed to have shared this Easter with my beautiful family while celebrating our risen Savior, Jesus Christ!

17 Months

Weight: 20 pounds 2 ounces
Height: 29 1/2 inches
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: 12-18 months
Sleep: 11-12 hours at night with at least 1 nap during the day
Current loves: car keys, being outside and Elmo. Whenever she sees Elmo's face on anything she starts jumping up and down, so cute!
Dislikes: napping (major sleep strike the last few weeks, but more teeth are coming in so maybe we'll get back to normal soon), when I take the iphone away from her and coming in from outside, even if we have been out there for hours.

It's amazing seeing how quickly Savannah Kate learns new words now and tries to repeat everything you say. Words that she can say now are: dada, momma, pawpaw, Belle, cracker, quack quack, bath, hi, bye, baby, buckle and no. We have to be careful when we say bath because when she hears "bath" she starts saying it over and over and runs to the bathroom and tries to take off her clothes. Have I ever mentioned how much she loves taking baths? She loves it! It's her favorite thing to do all day and she will get upset if you don't put her in once she hears the word bath.

Speaking of taking her clothes off, I caught her trying to take her diaper off the other day! Hopefully that never happens. She has gotten much better at helping me get her dressed and she tries so hard to put her socks and shoes on by herself. This girl loves her shoes :)

Elmo is her first crush!
This is the only drawer in the kitchen that's not locked so she has a lot of fun with it :)

16 Months

Weight: 19 pounds 14 ounces
Height: 29 1/2 inches
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: 12 months
Sleep: 11-12 hours at night with 1-2 naps during the day.  Somedays she takes two long naps and somedays she only takes one 30 minute nap.
Current loves: putting one of her coats on, opening any drawer or door she can find and pretending like she is asleep when she is supposed to be napping
Dislikes: eating (she's on a major food strike right now), not getting to go outside (mainly because its cold) and not being held in the morning - she really tries to demand being held for the first hour she is awake.  Never fails - everyday.

Biggest news is that Savannah Kate is offically walking! She thinks it's hilarious every time she takes some steps.  She still crawls around most of the time, then will stop and suddenly take a few steps, laugh out loud and then return to crawling :)

We have been through a tough time this last month while trying to heal from our miscarriage.  But even through our pain, God gave us a beautiful blessing of seeing our daughter walk for the first time.  She has been our ray of sunshine and once again God's timing was perfect.

Couldn't get a good 16 month picture and she refused to put down her makeup brush
Loves watching PBS on the iPad
Who cares if it's cold - we are happy to be playing outside!
